2009 Indulgence (Burger) Sculpture
We are so divided from the rest of the world that we label them ‘3rd World’, the western society and its peers frivolously indulge in everything money can buy. Manically we ravage through materialistic goods, multiple sexual partners, colourful and assorted drugs and drinks, salivating at the premise of all you can eat buffets, fry ups and fast food, greedily and hungrily and ruthlessly plotting to work our way up the hierarchy in the office for more power, more status, and more wealth. We always want more. We always need more. Our society has been plagued with the disease of excessiveness. This sculpture is my interpretation of our times.
